| A poem read at the service by family member Maria; To Bob: God saw him getting tired A cure was not to be He wrapped him in his loving arms And whispered “come with me” He suffered much in silence His spirit did not bend He faced his pain with courage Until the very end He tried so hard to stay with us But his fight was not in vain God took him to his loving home And freed him from his pain |
Service music for Bob: White Christmas by Bing Crosby, I Believe by The Bachelors, It’s Over by Roy Orbison.
The service was conducted by the Reverend John Scott
.
Reverend John told a story about Bob of how he had found true love via Face book . John went on to tell us that the lady in question's Father's name is Jesus, and not many people can say, that they had a phone call from Jesus, on Christmas Day (a true story).
